IMAGINIX WORD SUBMISSIONS

Imaginix Vol 2 submissions are now being accepted. Deadline for submissions:

If your child has invented an Imaginix word and you'd like us to consider it for future volumes of the Imaginix book series, please fill in the following form. If you have any questions regarding submissions, feel free to contact us at candiousbooks@gmail.com.

Guidelines

  • Words and definitions must be original works by children 0 - 17 years old.

  • Parents can help their children with sentence formulation in the word's use and figuring out how to spell the word.

  • Parents can also help their child to invent words by encouraging the use of blends, digraphs, trigraphs, etc, however; be sure to allow your children to free flow their word ideas as it will come naturally to them. 

  • Name and age credit will be given and appear next to your child's word in the book if their word submission is accepted.

  • Please note that we get many submissions and not all will be accepted. If we receive too many, we reserve the right to use their words in subsequent volumes should they be accepted for publication.

Candious Books Author Submission Guidelines

Candious Books is a children’s book publishing company, curated by Cindy Bertrand-Flores.

Our primary focus is on children's and YA stories written by children up to 17 years old. We are currently accepting manuscripts written by children and teens. Submissions by adult authors of children's books are being accepted but on a limited basis as we want the Candious Book imprint to stay true to it's roots.

We are open to considering picture book, chapter book, middle grade novel, and young adult novel manuscripts as well as middle grade and young adult nonfiction manuscripts, and both poetry and graphic novel formats. Writing that reflects young protagonists and/or child/youth-related topics are welcome.
